Wow - the pictures are really deceiving. Your work space looks alot smaller than it really is. My garage is approx 20 x 24 with a 10' ceiling. Of course I would have to contend with an 8' garage door also. Maybe I would have a chance of pulling it off. I found a website of some outfit that will build a Moose for customers, and they have a low cart that the fuselage sits on while being worked on. I may be able to do years of work before having to haul the whole project to a hangar for completion - a huge cost savings, not to mention the convienence of the project being right where I live.
Statistically the chances of completing an experimental aircraft when not building at your home decrease significantly. Your 20 x 24 garage is definately big enough to build a Moose, but as you pointed out, you won't be doing any final assembly inside, and you may have to get creative with your storage as you complete components.
As for my photos being deceptive, most of the photos don't show that I can park 2 full sized vehicles in the shop with it laid out like it is. The area where my work benches are setup is only the last 16 feet of the shop. Once I get the fuselage on the gear I don't think I'll be parking my truck in there anymore!
