Mike,

Boy it sure was fun. Last Sat abt 7am we flew over to Hitchenbrook Island and set up the runway on the beach for the Poker Run..going out we went right over the tops of the mnts and down some valleys. 30 min flight. coming back we went along the cost back to Valdez, 1 hr flight.

3 of us were in a Zenith 801.

Needles to say the winner of the Short TO and landing was the veritable Cubs.

Also, back from the Fun-N-Sun in Lakeland , Fla. Got rides there in the TundraDream and the BearHawk. Both fine planes. BH climbed at 1500'/min..

Just rode my motorcycle down to Anchorage last weekend for the Alaska Airmen air show... the ride was windy, but the show was great!

yeah i wanted to go to that also.

Was there anything that stood out? How abt all that glass.

At the FnS people were having fun playing with the EFIS systems in the new Cessnas.

Guess you'll be using it in your Moose...

Did you see the Tundradream guys?

I was gonna meet them again but just cldnt make it.

Well maybe we can have a brew sometime next time your down.

Regards,

rick

Yeah, everything had glass in it... I sure like the clean look of a glass panel.

I saw the Tundra booth, but didn't pay it much attention, not much reason at this point in the game for me.

I looked the Bearhawk over pretty well though... the fit and finish of the interior was really nice, I liked the trimable stab, but personally I think the airplane is ugly... what can I say? The Moose isn't exactly sexy!
