I've started getting all the pieces together I need to fire up the radiant heat system in my shop. I've got 1200 feet of tubing in the slab, but made due with a wood stove this last winter. After paying less than $300 for the 50 gal electric water heater in my house last year, I was a little shocked at the $1400 price tag on 32 gal oil fired water heater. Add to that over $600 for the fuel tank and another $1300 for plumbing bits and pieces... I really wasn't expecting it to run almost $3500 to get all the pieces together.
At least I will have nice even heat this winter, and will be able to get some work done when ever I have time instead of needing 2 hours to get the wood stove fired up and the chill out of the air.
As I get the major pieces in place and assembled I'll post some pics here.
