Once all the tedious drilling and deburring is completed, it's time to put it all together. This is my favorate part!
It always helps to have an extra hand when you're riveting a large part together... having one person primering rivets while the other pulls rivets and moves/swaps clecos around makes things go much faster. Here you can see my wife pitch in with some rivet pulling.
It took me about 8 hours, with a couple of hours help from my wife, to fully rivet the stab.
Actually, I spent the last hour just looking at it and grinning!
One other thing, you can see a small doubler I installed on the inside of the rear outside corner. The factory demonstrator had a problem with a crack developing here, and they added an external doubler that wrapped around the corner just like this. I just figured while I was building it would be neater to put it on the inside.
